Welcome to the Southern Appalachian Ecosystem Restoration Forum!
The Southern Appalachian region is home to some of the most diverse natural ecosystems in the world. As managers of public and private lands, scientists, conservationists, industry representatives, and interested individuals, we often have different perspectives on restoration priorities and how work should be accomplished. However, we also know that we share a great deal of common ground on the overall importance of restoration and the need to work together on key focus areas to accomplish our mutual goals.
This site is a communication forum for sharing ideas and discussing both widely supported issues and differing points of view on how to protect and restore Southern Appalachian forest ecosystems. Our intent is to provide an opportunity for members to post articles and research documents, make announcements about meetings or activities, share links to other sites, and have forum conversations on topics of interest. Initially access will be limited as we set up the site and test the function and level of management needed.
